Wear Pink Day | Thursday, October 13
Go ahead, get decked out from head-to-toe! Don’t forget to send your Pink Day photos of you and your co-workers to weeklybeat@rochesterregional.org. Nurses and other employees who are required to wear uniforms—show us your pink socks, pink hair accessories, etc. Posting your pink photos on social media? Tag #ROCYourPink to share the fun.
Mammograms by Moonlight
We know scheduling doctor appointments during the day can be difficult, so encourage the women in your life to get screened (and enjoy various spa-like treatments) during our convenient after-hour appointments at these special events in October. Activities vary by location.

UMMC’s Pink Hatters Night Out | Thursday, October 27 | Batavia Downs
Local cancer survivors will share their inspiring stories and show off new fall fashions on the red carpet. All proceeds go to the Cancer Services Program at UMMC. Click here for details.
Throughout October:
Pink paper ribbons, to be used as tributes, will be available for purchase at Riedman, Unity, Rochester General, Ridgeway, and St. Mary’s cafés and cafeterias. Purchasers are encouraged to write the name of a person they’d like to honor and display the ribbon in the cafeteria for all to see (location depending). Each ribbon is $1 and proceeds benefit Rochester Regional Breast Center.
Additionally, businesses in the community, including the Towns of Irondequoit and Greece, Winn Properties, Harris Beach PLLC, and EMCOR/Betlem Heating, are hosting their own events and fundraising activities in support of the Breast Center.
