Through the modernization of current resources, the addition of new facilities, the introduction of new programs as well as a focus on critical care, we will provide specialized treatment options close to home where residents can be seen and treated near their existing support structure.
Our planned initiatives fall in line with the larger Rochester Regional Health vision to lead the evolution of healthcare, and build upon our commitment to the people of Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming counties, making us a stronger partner in the effort to help every member of the communities we serve enjoy a better, healthier life.

5 Projects, 5 years… a Lifetime of Healthcare
We have identified what we feel are necessary capital improvements and program expansions to enable us to have the greatest impact on healthcare delivery and the patient experience. This requires a major investment by UMMC in our communities’ future, but it also is reliant upon the support of our many friends and neighbors.
The five priority projects include:
- Radiology Expansion and Renovation Project
- Intensive Care Unit
- Palliative Care Unit Renovation
- Primary Care Renovation
- Education and Training Center
